Fuerteventura Kiteboarding - Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura was always a great destination for windsurfers and now Kitesurfing has taken Fuerte by storm. With it's excellent reputation for consistant winds and flat water conditions, the resort of Correlejo in the North of Fuerteventura is the main kitesurfing center and is only a short transfer time from the airport.


The beach directly in front of the kitecentre is around 6-7 km of white sand, with just over 3 km suitable for kitesurfing. The wind is predominantly cross-shore. The best months for kitesurfing here are May to mid Sept. This is when the sea tends to be flat and the wind consistent. Wind speeds averaging 3 Bft in the mornings and 5 Bft in the afternoons.
