Windsurfing in Fuerteventura - Fuerteventura

Over the past decade, Fuerteventura has established it'self as one of the best windsurfing holiday destinations. The resort of Correlejo in the North of Fuerteventura is the main windsurfing center and is only a short transfer time from the airport.


From March/April through to August/September the infamous trade winds provide perfect wave riding conditions for the first couple of months, with the remains of the winter swells, and flat slalom conditions from May onwards. For the remainder of the year there is still sufficient wind in the North for beginners to learn in the safety of the sandy-bottomed lagoon and for wind junkies there are plenty of other spots with more favourable wind conditions within easy reach.
