Wooden cabins scattered in a flourishing garden surrounded by birdlife and mountain streams and big bonfire starry nights. Indigenous forests and hidden rock pools to explore on horse back. The horse riding trips are available for a morning or afternoon trip but even for a full day. The full day trip will give you the chance to spend more time on the horse back and see even more extraordinary places. In the full day trip a picnic lunch is included.

Swellendam Backpackers Adventure Lodge is a cozy country getaway where you can sooth your troubles away and relax in the splendor of nature. Our facilities offer budget accommodation for the discerning independant traveller. The main house has a large open communial area with self catering kitchen, lounge and dining room. Lantern lit wooden cabins scattered in the garden offer double and twin rooms or camp with a gurgling mountain stream, forest and birdlife. Family room and private double rooms also available.
