Divemaster Essentials

The Divemaster Essentials programme is our 'no frills' course. It covers the basic essentials that you need to qualify but excludes the extras you get on our full Divemaster Traineeship: PADI specialities, liveaboard and work experience. Great value for money, the Essentials course gives you more free time and the perfect opportunity to enjoy Sydney. Divemaster Essentials takes you from absolute beginner right up to PADI Divemaster, the basic qualification for professional work in the recreational dive industry. If you are already qualified as an entry-level diver at the beginning of the programme, we give you the choice of logging some extra dives or recapping your PADI Open Water Diver course.


As a Divemaster you will be a fully trained scuba diver, with the skills and knowledge needed to lead certified divers in open water and to assist an instructor both in the pool and in open water sessions. If you want to earn money doing what you like best the Divemaster Traineeship is for you. If you are thinking about a career as a PADI professional, this is the first step on the career ladder. Dealing with clients in a working environment will help you determine whether this is the life for you.
